Need help finding a MeshMate

Hello, I’m Ishaan, a sophomore Computer Science student. I’m familiar with full-stack development in MERN and learning languages such as Go and Rust.

I’ve recently started to explore meshery and its Cloud Native ecosystem and found it fascinating. I’d like to explore further and hopefully contribute to some of the projects.

I’ve already set up Meshery locally and explored some of the documentation, but I’d appreciate it if a MeshMate could help me navigate the initial learning curve and suitable first issues to work on.

Welcome to the Layer :layer5: community and thank you for reaching out for a :meshmate: MeshMate.

You should start by joining the weekly Newcomers meeting every Thursday (the next one is tomorrow) to get an overview of the projects and the community. On the call there are MeshMates, Community Managers and maintainers to assist you further and answer your questions. From here you can join one of the many meetings we have consistently to grow in the project, something like the weekly Dev meeting. Check out the calendar at https://meet.layer5.io
