Layer5io/sistent/identity/color should have HTML tables instead of images

I was checking out the new Layer5 system pages and noticed that we are using images for color codes instead of an HTML table. These images are not beneficial because the color codes are not copyable. Therefore, I’m raising this topic for discussion so that we can decide on a better approach.

I got couple of questions as well. If Table thing is accepted then,

  • Are we going to use those images for design? to create a similar table?
  • Are we going to add a copy button with it, to copy the code?

I would like to contribute to it.

I have made an issue about this on github.

@Rex_Joshua your reviews? Should we need a mockup or should use existing table?

@Aviral0702 @moin Can you confirm if we already have a table for this? Has the work been completed since it’s been a while?

A GitHub PR has been raised to fix this issue but some changes are requested. So,yes it is in process as we discussed it in the latest website meeting.

I wanted to apply for Meshery mentorship program. Someone please tell me what’s the timeline and are there any specific requirements beside skills for applying to the program?
Thanking you in anticipation of prompt reply.

Hi @Guraasees_Singh it’s a good question. Meshery program accepts mentees all the time, I’ll encourage you to jump into the community and start engaging and participating in issues, PRs or if possible join dev meetings.
