Layer5 community now spans across five Github Organizations 🎉

With sweeping changes to GitHub repositories this week (some of it related to the onboarding of Meshery and SMP into the CNCF), it’s worth taking note that the Layer5 community now spans four GitHub organizations:

github.com/layer5io

  • emerging projects like GetNighthawk, community with MeshMates, umbrella organization for any initiative that has yet to breakout into to own org.

github.com/service-mesh-performance

  • Service Mesh Performance specification.

github.com/meshery

  • Meshery and its components.

github.com/service-mesh-patterns

  • a collection of curated patterns of service mesh use compatible with Meshery.

github.com/layer5labs

  • a collection of Meshery plugins

I like the new organization of projects into their respective categories. That will help with my understanding of the big picture, and help me focus on one or more of the 4 new orgs
